Nominations for the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards are now open. The nomination deadline is May 10, 2026.

Since 1968, the Distinguished Alumni Awards have honored alumni and members of the Javelina Family who have distinguished themselves in their profession, community, and through service to the university.

Nomination Categories Include:

Distinguished Alumni Award 
The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor presented by the Javelina Alumni Association. It recognizes alumni who have demonstrated sustained professional success, meaningful service to their communities, and whose accomplishments bring distinction to Texas A&M University–Kingsville. 

Rising Star Award 
The Rising Star Award recognizes alumni of Texas A&M University–Kingsville who have achieved notable professional success within 15 years of graduation (2010–2025). 

Blue & Gold Service Award 
The Blue and Gold Service Award is presented to an individual who demonstrates exceptional service, commitment, and pride in Texas A&M University–Kingsville. Recipients are actively engaged with the university and the broader community, participate in alumni initiatives and events, and consistently support the mission and values of the institution. This award may also be presented to an individual who is not a graduate of the university.
